Communication Climate Assessment
Hello readers! This past week, I found a wonderful resource that hospitals use to assess their communications climate. The American Medical Association created what they call a C-CAT (Communications Climate Assessment Toolkit) which is a survey of 74 questions to help your organization diagnose its communication climate. In the healthcare world, communication is VITAL when patients lives are on the line!
An example of some of the questions asked are: Do you have someone on staff that can work as a medical interpreter? Has miscommunication in the past affected patient health and safety?
Even if you aren’t a part of a hospital, it’s easy to tweak these questions to better suit the functions of your organization. Has miscommunication had a negative impact on the effectiveness of a past campaign?
